The Rookie Championship, which marks its 11th anniversary this year, will continue its reputation as a venue for finding new female professional golf players.

The 2024 Carrier Air Conditioner and MTN Rookie Championship, sponsored by Otec Group affiliates Carrier Air Conditioner and CRK, will premiere on SBS Golf on the 22nd and Money Today (MTN) on the 27th.

The Rookie Championship, which marks its 11th anniversary this year, has been a venue for discovering new golfers in name and reality, producing outstanding KLPGA first-tier tour winners for 11 years since 2013.

The competition will be held at the Nexus Resort Garambuna CC in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, where nature and the course are superb, and players can enjoy high-quality plays against the backdrop of Kota Kinabalu’s unique and fresh summer scenery.

The Rookie Championship will be broadcasted on SBS Golf, SBS Golf 2, and Money Today for 13 weeks starting with a match between pro Lee Dong-eun and pro Lim Chae-ri. The Rookie Championship will air on SBS Golf at 9:30 p.m. every Monday and on MTN at 3 p.m. every Saturday.

Lee Dong-eun, who acquired the seed of the regular tour with the 23-year Dream Tour prize money ranking, and Lee Sun-young 2, Lee Soo-yeon 2, Kim Bo-mi 3, Park Seol-hwi, Kim Da-eun 2, Kim Hae-in, Han Ah-reum, Hyewon Choi, Jeon Seung-hee, and Lim Chae-ri will participate in the competition. A total of 12 participants will select six quarterfinalists through 1:1 match play, and two more will join through the loser’s revival to play for the quarterfinals.
