1. The competition for the first place in the regular league and the men’s team to advance to the spring volleyball tournament for the first time in the V-League history!

For the first time in the history of the V-League, which lasted 20 seasons, both men’s and women’s teams decided to top the regular league in the final game.

The men’s team failed to secure the No. 1 spot in the regular season, but Woori Card lost the No. 1 spot in the regular season by a total of one point as Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance won the match against Woori Card on Sept. 16 after a close five-set battle. As a result, Korean Air dramatically achieved the No. 1 spot in the regular season for the fourth consecutive season.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction, which fought against Heungkuk Life Insurance until the end for the No. 1 spot, finally ended the regular league No. 1 by winning three points in the last regular league game.

Not only the top spot in the regular league, but also the competition to advance to the men’s spring volleyball continued until the end of the season. From the third-place team to the sixth-place team, they did not let go of their hope for spring volleyball until the end, showing a small difference in points, and in particular, Hyundai Capital won a dramatic 3-2 victory in the final match between OK Financial Group and Hyundai Capital, leading to a semi-playoff in which the third and fourth-place teams were held in a single round when the difference in points was less than three points.

2. Hyundai Engineering & Construction won back after 13 seasons!

Hyundai Engineering & Construction achieved the integrated victory in 13 seasons.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction won the championship after a one-point gap against Heungkuk Life Insurance and a fierce 3-2 victory in all three championship games. This is the championship trophy that was recovered in eight seasons after the 2015-16 season, and the integrated victory in 13 seasons after the 2010-11 season.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction ranked first in the regular league in both the 2019-20 and 2021-22 seasons with tremendous momentum, but Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s integrated victory is even more meaningful because the postseason was not held in the aftermath of COVID-19 and it missed the opportunity to win the championship.

3. Korean Air, the winner of the integrated victory for four consecutive seasons!

Korean Air has written a new history of winning the first four consecutive seasons in the V-League.

Korean Air has been reborn as the champion after fierce competition from the regular season battle for No. 1 ranking to the championship game, in which the result could not be predicted until the end of the season. After confirming the No. 1 ranking in the regular season, Korean Air won the championship title after the third round of the championship game, achieving the overall title for four consecutive seasons. Korean Air is the only team in V-League history to win the championship title for four consecutive seasons.

4. A successful first introduction of the Asia Quarter!

The biggest institutional change this season is the introduction of the Asian quarter. Players in the Asian quarter performed remarkably well this season.
