Tottenham Hotspur’s Welsh all-weather striker Brennan Johnson thanked his fans.

Johnson stood out for Nottingham Forest. He contributed to Nottingham’s promotion with 16 goals and nine assists in 46 games in the second division championship of the 2021/22 season. Making his debut in the English Premier League (EPL) last season, he scored eight goals and three assists in 38 games.

Johnson moved to Tottenham during the transfer window last summer. Tottenham succeeded in signing a contract with Johnson, beating Chelsea and Brentford. Tottenham acquired Johnson by spending 47.5 million pounds, the fourth highest ever paid by a club.

Johnson has four goals and six assists in 21 matches for Tottenham this season. He was once a substitute for his lower-than-expected shooting capability, but he has secured double-digit attack points for Tottenham. Tottenham now has four players, including James Madison, Son Heung-min, Johnson, and Hishalisson, who scored more than 10 attack points in the league.

In the previous round against Aston Villa, Johnson scored Tottenham’s second goal. In the eighth minute of the second half, Son caught the ball from Villa’s camp and passed it to Johnson, who was penetrating from the left to the center. Johnson finished with a right footed shot to score the goal. Thanks to Johnson, Son accumulated assist. Tottenham overwhelmed Villa 4-0.

Johnson has been trending well lately. From the match against Brentford in round 22 to the match against Villa in round 28, Johnson has had three goals and two assists in six matches. Two of them were finishers. Tottenham won all the matches where Johnson accumulated attack points.

Johnson expressed his thoughts on his good performance. “Not as much as I wanted, but I was really happy when I scored and scored in a game like the game against Villa, especially when I scored. I really thank my fans who supported me and always gave me confidence,” he said through Spurs Play. 스포츠토토
