A 48-year-old Newark woman bought five Instant Game tickets at Acme #2680 in Newark, Delaware. One of the tickets she purchased was Money to Burn, which was one of the game’s $250,000 top prizes.

“It’s exciting to see a $250,000 instant game winning ticket go on sale this year for the second time in the state,” said Vernon Kirk, director of the Delaware Lottery Bureau. “A Pennsylvania man won $250,000 and $250,000 in January.”

The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, was with her daughter when she learned she had won. “We couldn’t believe it,” the woman said. “I scratched the ticket and was so surprised. We just went to check and scanned it.”

When asked what she plans to do with the prize money, the woman said she was happy to pay off her debt and help others.
