The Korea Volleyball Association (Chairman Oh Han-nam) announced on the 16th that the Korean men’s volleyball team will participate in the 22nd Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship, which will be held in Urmia, Iran, from August 19 to 26.

A total of 14 players will be dispatched to the men’s national team led by head coach Lim Do-heon. Hwang Seung-bin (KB Insurance) and Hwang Taek-ui (National Military Sports Unit) will lead the setter, while Park Kyung-min (Hyundai Capital) and Lee Sang-wook (Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance) will be in charge of the libero position.

A total of five players, Na Kyung-bok (Ministry of National Defense), Jung Ji-seok (Korean Air), Jeong Han-yong (Korean Air), Lim Sung-jin (Korea Electric Power Corporation), and Jeon Kwang-in (Hyundai Capital), will be in charge of the outside heater, while Heo Soo-bong (Hyundai Capital) and Lim Dong-hyuk (Korean Air) will be in charge of the apogit. South Korea, which belongs to Group F of the Asian Men’s Volleyball Championships, will face Bangladesh (August 19) and Pakistan (August 21), in turn, and will advance to the round of 12 playoffs until the second place in the group.

The men’s volleyball team has gathered at Jincheon National Training Center since mid-July to begin full-fledged training for about four weeks, and will depart Incheon International Airport on the same day for Urmia, Iran, the venue of the tournament.
