‘8-to-1’ Boston is one of the greatest teams of all time

There’s no stopping Boston.

The Boston Celtics defeated the Golden State Warriors 140-88 on Thursday night at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, to open the 2023-2024 NBA regular season.

It was a dominant performance. Boston dominated Golden State on both offense and defense, cruising to an easy win.

The margin of victory was such that the teams didn’t seem to be on the same level. Surprisingly, Golden State was on a roll, winning 11 of their last 13 games before this game. 토토사이트 Ace Steph Curry was in the lineup, but the Warriors were unable to capitalize.

The win was Boston’s 11th straight. They now have a record of 48-12. Their winning percentage is a whopping 80%, or 8%. They’re in first place in the NBA and unbeatable.

Boston’s record is even more impressive when you look at the details. They lead the NBA in net rating at +11.6, have the best offensive rating (122.7), and are second in defensive rating (111.2). They’re nearly perfect on both offense and defense.

Boston’s net rating of +11.6 is tied for the third-best in NBA history. It’s tied with the Golden State Warriors from the 2016-2017 season. First and second are the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan’s team from the 1995-1996 and 1996-1997 seasons.

The offensive rating of 122.7 is the best in NBA history, which means that Boston is the most offensive team in NBA history this season.

The Celtics have a few secrets. First, the strength of their starting lineup.

Boston has built a fantastic best five of Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Kristaps Porzingis.

Halladay and Porzingis are a huge upgrade from the previous starters, Marcus Smart and Al Horford.

The addition of Porzingis, in particular, was key. Porzingis gives Boston something they didn’t have before. The Celtics were a Tatum and Brown-centric offense. In the past, with Horford and the departed Robert Williams III, the big man was strictly a supporting role.

Porzingis, however, is an offensive force who can easily average 20 points a game. He can play both inside and outside. This season, Porzingis is averaging 20.3 points, seven rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game.

Boston’s only real weakness in the past has been losing the battle in the paint. With Porzingis on board, the Celtics are a team with no weaknesses.

The bench is as good as the starters. Peyton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, Horford, Luke Cornett, and others are utilized.

Pritchard is a backup handler who opens up the offense, while Hauser is a specialist three-point shooter. Horford comes off the bench, but is practically a starter. Cornett also comes off the bench in short bursts to keep Porzingis healthy.

The strength of the lineup, the depth of the bench, and the leadership of second-year head coach Joe Mazzula shine through.

Boston’s goal, of course, is to win a championship. The Celtics last won the NBA Finals in 2007-2008, and it’s been 16 years since then. They’ve had plenty of chances, but none as good as this season.

There’s no team that can stop them.
