Tristan Thompson suspended for 25 games for ‘positive doping’

Thompson failed a drug test.

“Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson has been suspended for 25 games for a positive drug test,” The Athletic reported on Thursday (June 24).

The suspension will be effective immediately following 온라인카지노 the next game.

This is an embarrassing development for Cleveland. The Cavs are currently riding high, having won eight straight games. This is despite the absence of starting point guard Darius Garland and starting big man Evan Mobley. The team has been playing well as a unit, led by ace Donovan Mitchell.

The veteran Thompson has thrown cold water on the good times.

Thompson has been doing his job as a backup big man. Thompson was playing 15 to 20 minutes a game and doing a great job backing up Jarrett Allen, the Cavs’ starting center. The suspension is a blow to the Cavs, who are already dealing with a lot of injury turnover.

Thompson is a franchise star who was selected by Cleveland with the fourth overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. He played nine seasons in Cleveland after being drafted, bouncing between the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, and Chicago Bulls before returning to his hometown team.

Thompson averaged 3.8 points and 3.9 rebounds this season, and while his stats don’t stand out, he’s been a decent backup big man.

Cleveland fans must be very disappointed in Thompson after this drug incident.
