“It saved my life”…Hishalisson calls it a ‘resurrection’ What is it?

Tottenham Hotspur striker Tottenham Hotspur striker has credited psychotherapy with boosting his performance. He revealed that psychotherapy has been very helpful for him.

British outlet Sky Sports posted a video of an interview with the player on social media on Tuesday (June 20). “I’m currently seeing a psychotherapist every week,” he told Sky Sports, “and he’s been very helpful to me.”

He joined Tottenham from Everton last season for a transfer fee of over $100 million. Spurs had high hopes for the striker, who scored 53 goals in 152 games for Everton. He was expected to play up top alongside Harry Kane or to step in when Kane was out injured.

However, he had a very poor first season at Tottenham. He mostly came on as a substitute, but he was poor to say the least. In 27 Premier League games, he scored just one goal. Spurs were forced to rely even more on Kane due to his lack of form.

This season, his role has grown even more. This is because Harry Kane left Tottenham for Bayern Munich. Kane is Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer with 280 goals for the club and scored 30 goals last season. His challenge this season was to fill the void left by Kane.

At the beginning of the season, Hicharisson did not play that role at all. It was similar to last season. His first league goal came after five games. Coach Anzhi Postecoglou started him as a frontline striker, but when he started to struggle, he moved Son Heung-min up front. Naturally, his place in the side diminished.

His confidence dropped and he began to seek psychological help.

“He said in September that he would return to England after playing an A-match in Brazil and visit a psychologist to seek psychological help,” the Guardian reported in September, adding, “He said that with psychological help, he would be able to perform well at Tottenham.”

His words came true. His goal-scoring form picked up in December, when he scored four goals in his first four starts. He also scored in the first game of January.

The real test came for him. Tottenham’s solution man and captain Son Heung-min was out of the Tottenham squad for the Asian Cup. With Son out of the league, it was up to Heung-Min to provide the goals for Spurs.

And he filled the role perfectly. He scored four goals in three league games without Son, leading the team in scoring. Without Son, he was the king of Tottenham.

When Son returned, it looked like the duo would work perfectly together to propel Tottenham up the table, but just two games after Son’s return, the Frenchman suffered an injury that kept him out of action for a month. He made his return to action on April 17, coming on as a substitute against Fulham.

He has 10 goals and three assists this season. “Psychotherapy is very important for players and I wish every player could have it,” he said. “It’s a very important part of the game. It will help them perform on the field,” he said.

He is currently with the Brazilian national team for their upcoming A-match.

This time, the Brazilian team will have a psychologist on staff. “He welcomed the addition of the psychologist to the team, saying that psychotherapy has saved me,” ESPN reported.
