Newcastle won’t recruit Calvert Lewin for ‘70.3 billion won expensive’

Newcastle have stopped negotiating the signing of Calvert Lewin.

“Newcastle United has ended negotiations to recruit Everton striker Dominic Calvert Lewin.”

According to the media, Newcastle judged that the £40 million about 70.3 billion won transfer fee for the 27-year-old striker with one year left on his contract was expensive.

Calvert Lewin has been Everton’s leading striker for the past few years. During the 2023-2024 season, he played in 32 league games 26 starts with seven goals and two assists. In the last three years, he suffered frequent injuries, but in the 2020-2021 season, he scored 16 goals in 33 league games 32 starts.

Newcastle, which has Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson as its front-line resources, were considering a replacement as Isak, who scored 21 league goals last season, received attention from several big clubs. Calvert Lewin, who had completed Premier League verification, could have been a reasonable alternative, but it is interpreted that he withdrew his intention to recruit to Everton’s price tag. 슬롯사이트 순위

Meanwhile, Premier League financial health and sustainability rules require teams that have spent more than their earnings in the last three years to earn extra income before June 30. Everton were given an eight-point cut last season for violating the rules.
