Last year’s top pitcher gets first win in 9 starts
The LG Twins snapped their losing streak. However, the game was a disappointing one, as neither the winners nor the losers, KT and the Wiz, were able to capitalize on the offense.

LG struck first. In the bottom of the first, Hong Chang-ki led off with a walk and Park Hae-min singled up the middle to put runners on first and second. With two outs, Moon Sung-ju singled up the middle to score the go-ahead run.
LG added another run. In the bottom of the second, Shin Min-jae walked and Hong Chang-ki hit an RBI triple.
LG continued to add runs. In the top of the third, Kim Hyun-soo singled and walked to load the bases. Moon Sung-ju followed with another RBI single. The score was 3-0.
Then KT’s chase began. Rojas, who led off the bottom of the fourth inning, took a 115-kilometer curveball from Lim Chan-kyu over the right-center field fence. His 11th of the season.
However, LG quickly made up for the error. In the bottom of the ninth, KT pulled within one run on Hwang Jae-gyun’s double and Shin Bon-ki’s RBI single, but it didn’t change the outcome.
Lim earned his first win in 10 games, allowing one run on seven hits (one homer) with two walks and five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. It was his first win in nine starts. He threw 105 pitches, including 34 fastballs up to 148 kilometers, 39 curves, 31 changeups, and one cutter.
At the plate, leadoff hitter Hong Chang-ki went 2-for-4 with two doubles and four walks. Park Hae-min also had three hits and a walk as the table-setters combined for 10 hits. Moon Sung-ju had a good showing with two hits and two RBIs.
