There are a lot of big names in free agency after this season. GS Caltex’s Kang So-hwi, the biggest name in the game, is eligible for his second free agency, and Jeong Kwan-jang’s Lee So-young recently recovered from an injury.

There are many other players who are not as high-priced, but could be great additions. These are the players who made their professional debuts with the first through fourth picks in the 토토 2018-2019 Women’s Professional Volleyball Draft. They are now eligible for free agency.

There were a lot of good players in that draft. Lee Ju-ah was selected by Heungkuk Life with the first pick in the first round, and Park Eun-jin was selected by Ginseng Corporation (now Jung Kwan-jang) with the second pick. Park Hye-min was selected by GS Caltex in the third round, and Jeong Ji-yoon was selected by Hyundai E&C in the fourth round. 

They made their professional debut in 2018 and have improved every year, earning national team selections.

The Dodram 2023-2024 V-League Women’s Division match between Hyundai E&C and Jung Kwanjang at Suwon Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do, Gyeonggi-do on the 14th was a fierce battle between Jung Eun-yoon (Hyundai E&C) and Park Eun-jin (Jung Kwanjang), who are friends who joined the team together and are the same age. 

Jung’s strength is her offense. His weakness is his unreliable reception, but his offense alone is enough to make him an attractive player. As a native outside hitter, there aren’t many players who can deliver such a powerful attack. This was one of them. She did her part with eight kills (44.4% attacking success rate), unleashing powerful spikes while being blocked by her opponent’s targeted serves. Her receiving efficiency was also stable at 52.2%.

In the end, Hyundai E&C won the set 3-0 (25-21 25-21 25-17) with Moma leading the offense with a team-high 18 points and Wipawi with 12 points.

Park Eun-jin only scored two points on the day, but her blocking ability was outstanding. Not only did she score a blocked shot, but she also blocked multiple attacks with effective blocks. Park’s blocking percentage this season is 0.54, which ranks eighth in the league, but she had a 0.67 on this day. Park’s strength is her blocking. In the 2020-2021 season, she led the league in effective blocks in 30 regular-season games.

The two free agents did their jobs and played to their strengths. 

Meanwhile, the 2023-2024 season begins with the All-Star Game on the 27th, followed by a honeyed ten-day break from the 20th to the 29th. The fifth round will begin on the 30th.
